Top 7 travel destinations for 2018
While the list of places to visit is never ending, here's a short list of the top places I'm itching to visit in 2018.
Cape Town, South Africa
It seems that everyone is visiting Cape Town at the moment. And who wouldn't want to? The city is right on the water with Table Mountain as the backdrop. There is quite the food scene in Cape Town and Stellenbosch, the country's wine region, is just a short car ride away. Then of course if you would like to get out of the city and onto a Safari, that's just a short drive away as well.
Tel Aviv, Israel
Another city set on the coast, Tel Aviv is a Mediterranean city bustling with activity and culture. From the many restaurants and bars to the museums and parks, you won't have a shortage on activities. The Dead Sea and Jerusalem are also close by and worth the day trip to go visit and explore.
Mendoza, Argentina
The Napa Valley of Argentina. Known for their Malbec, Mendoza produces 2/3rds of the country's wine. However, wine isn't all this region has to offer. Mendoza is set at the foot of the Andes and is the gateway to many different adventurous activities such as hiking, parasailing, and biking tours.
New Orleans, Louisiana
New Orleans is a unique city that's a melting pot of American, African, and French cultures. You see it in their spicy cajun food and hear it in the jazz music playing in the streets. Come to New Orleans to experience amazing cuisine and bustling nightlife.
Havana, Cuba
For Americans, we were only recently allowed to visit Cuba and it is untouched by mass tourism, for now. For Havana, there really is no time like the present to visit. Filled with vintage cars, amazing food, and friendly locals, plan your trip to Havana now, before the masses come.
Marrakech, Morocco
I also felt that Marrakech was the "it" destination of 2017, but I still felt it earned a spot on the 2018 list as well. Marrakech is an exotic city in Northern Africa filled with posh hotels, a good food scene, and amazing architecture. Vibrant and bustling, Marrakech would be sure to be a trip to remember.
Tokyo, Japan
Japan's ultra modern city of Tokyo is not one to miss. There seems to be something for everyone in this city, from gardens, to markets, palaces, and towers. Walking through the city you can find high end shopping and quite the food scene as well. While there is also always a bustle of activity in the city, you can escape to the city's several museums and parks to find a bout of serenity.
