Top Destinations for 2025

Usually at the start of a new year I have the majority of my year lined up travel wise. This year, I only have one trip planned for March! So in the spirit of diving into 2025, here are all of the destinations and vacations that we’re dreaming up for the new year—to inspire you and me!

Horseback Vacations

Horseback riding in Cappadocia, Turkey.

As a retired horse girl who cannot afford either time or money to ride horses in her day-to-day life, I have resorted to riding horses every chance I get while traveling. This has turned out to be a great method and the Más Travelled team has an exciting horseback riding vacation coming up in Spain. While planning this trip we researched endless horseback destinations and I think we will need to slowly but surely work our way through them all.

Some top horse trips that are on our radar are the beaches and highlands of Scotland, the Sahara Desert in Morocco, through the Andes Mountains in Argentina, and of course the dream horseback safari in Africa.

African Safari

Safari in Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania

An African Safari is a Más Travelled favorite. I have been on safari in 6 countries in Africa and they’re all fantastic for their own reasons. Our new team member, Bailey, is heading out on a big African safari adventure this summer and we cannot wait to follow along! Catching a glimpse of these animals in the wild never gets old. Not only is it exciting to see animals in the wild, but the lodging and camps are some of the best in the world. We love a unique stay that is filled with local charm and top-notch service and that is exactly what you can expect from an African safari.

Weekend Getaways

Skiing and snowboarding in Snowshoe, West Virginia

This year we want to continue to take advantage of short weekend getaways. Whether it’s taking a quick flight down to Florida to soak in some warm weather or popping up to the mountains for the weekend—you don’t have to go far to have a good time. We already have multiple weekends planned for the mountains of Virginia and West Virginia this winter and I know some beach trips are on the horizon as well.

Europe is Calling

Positano, Italy

After spending 5 weeks in Europe in 2022 and 2 weeks in 2021, I was a bit spent on Europe. Since then I’ve been chasing different regions of the world and with different cultures such as Southern Africa, India, and South America. These regions of the world are absolutely incredible but they can be a bit more work logistically. I’m starting to get the itch for another European trip and the ease of travel that comes with it. Our team will be headed to Spain at the end of next month and I think we may need to plan another trip when the weather starts to warm up. Eastern Europe, Mallorca, and Southern France are all peaking my interest!

South America Exploring

Patagonia, Chile

One of my big goals for the past couple of years has been to explore more of South America. It’s of course a massive continent, so that goal is being dragged into this year as well! We had a trip fully booked to Ecuador for my birthday last year but had to cancel due to health issues. I’ve also had multiple flights booked and cancelled to Colombia (a bad habit when I’m bored or stressed). I think both countries are due for a trip and I would love to make space for both of these destinations in 2025.

Ecuador is an adventure lover's paradise—hiking in Cotopaxi, kayaking in Baeza, and exploring the Galapagos Islands. Colombia has endless things to offer, but I especially want to check out some of the gorgeous islands off the coast, the colorful city of Cartagena, and then dip into the mountains and Cocora Valley.

South East Asia

Phi Phi Island, Thailand

After spending 4 months backpacking throughout South East Asia back in 2017, this part of the world will always hold a special place in my heart. Because of that, SE Asia will always be on our yearly travel wishlist! While the Philippines has long been at the top of my list, I sadly don’t think I’ll have the capacity to make that trip happen this year. The Philippines deserve a full month of bopping around without work getting in the way.

However, we have a client who is headed on an epic one month trip through Vietnam and Indonesia very soon! This trip was so much fun to plan and sent me traveling down memory lane. We were able to work with some of the best providers in the industry to put together this trip that is equal parts luxury, adventure, and culture.

Follow the Flight Deals

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

There is something to be said about going where the deals are. Whether you’re booking your flights via credit card points or cash, being flexible and letting the deals influence where you are going is a fantastic way to save money and get a bit creative on where you’re going. The world of credit card points and miles is always changing, it’s better to spend your points sooner rather than later. Following deals is a major factor in how I travel, it has a big influence on when and where I go for just about every trip I take.

A flash American Airlines rewards sale was how we planned our trip to Rio last fall and it’s also the reason we’ll be going to Morocco in a few months. Our favorite way to keep in the know for deals is to follow points and miles experts on Instagram. A few of our favorites are @thepointsguy and @zachhoing.
